John Milanski
Senior User Experience Designer

John specializes in uncovering customer requirements using ethnographic techniques. He has over 15 years of new product development experience, including requirements definition, user interface design, prototyping, human factors testing, usability testing, and accessibility testing. John currently holds 12 U.S. patents with another 10 in-process.

John has a Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering and a Masters in Human-Centered Product Design. He is also a past president of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES).

In his free time, John runs into burning buildings (as a volunteer firefighter since 2003), runs people to the hospital (as an EMT-Basic since 1999), and just plain runs (as a marathoner and triathlete since 1994).

Paul Hayes
Lead Software Developer

Paul has nearly 30 years experience designing user interfaces. His skills include familiarity with a wide variety of computer languages and platforms as well as both web based technologies and desktop based applications development. Lately he has been focusing on web site work, developing a multitude of web sites for a variety of customers.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Colorado.

In his free time, Paul is an amateur chocolatier (with aspirations of becoming a pro), enjoys martial arts, and spends time reading on the couch with his cat Maya.

Tracy Sanders
Interaction Designer and Graphic Artist

Tracy comes from an extensive background in fine art and graphic design and continues to apply these skills to her current work. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Studio Art in 2011, followed by a Master of Science in Modeling and Simulation in 2013 from the University of Central Florida, where she continues to work on her Doctorate in Applied Experimental and Human Factors Psychology. Under the advisement of Dr. Peter Hancock, Tracy has been involved with a number of projects involving trust, usability, and design of complex automated systems.

In her free time, Tracy enjoys painting, running on the beach, and playing with her dogs.

Scott Scheff

Scott has over 15 years of multidisciplinary experience designing, testing, and developing user interfaces for software and hardware applications ranging from military systems to wearable computers. Scott has formal training in Human Factors Engineering and System Safety, with experience in all phases of the product life cycle from deriving requirement to post deployment assessments and interviews. Scott's educational background is in Human Factors and Applied Experimental Psychology with a master's degree from California State University, Northridge.

Scott is the founder of HF Designworks and Track Day Ready and a member of the esteemed Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO). Scott is also a multiple ironman triathlon finisher as well as an accomplished ultramarathon cyclist, swimmer, and running.
